Partnership: Olidia Connexion + ONUSIDA , Centre Wallonie Bruxelles, USAID, PNMLS
Democratic Republic of Congo
Prior to the ME TOO movement, there were few actions to combat violence against women in an educational or professional environment. When Bernadette, founder of the Olidia Connexion, accused her former boss of misconduct, she was fired from work and found herself alone.
Bernadette organizes sensitization actions to fight against violence against women, HIV/AIDS, and sexual harassment in educational and professional environments. She has two published works on these topics. The partnership seeks to establis a reception center for victims who need to report their harasser and accompany them in their complaint to win their case in court. Encouraging the reporting without fear of reprisal will allow zero tolerance of sexual assault in educational and professional settings.
