There is an invisibility of women and girls with disabilities. This is presented across various sectors but particularly within the health sector where there is a lack of access to information and services around sexual and reproductive rights. This-Ability sees this as a direct result of the asexuality associated with women with disabilities which has resulted in a lack of programming, interventions, policy development or investments in advancing reproductive health.
This-Ability seeks to create visibility for women and girls with disabilities. Their work is focused around challenging societal norms and perceptions around gender, disability and sexuality. This-Ability pushes boundaries through media and art, while creating spaces for thought provoking conversations that influence policy change.
